Swiss Re Chairman Sergio Ermotti to Step Down April 30 to Focus on UBS Role
By Adria Calatayud
Swiss Re AG said Thursday that Chairman Sergio Ermotti will step down from the Swiss reinsurer on April 30 to fully focus on his new role at UBS Group AG.
Mr. Ermotti, who was recently appointed UBS chief executive to lead the integration of Credit Suisse Group AG, will hand over his responsibilities as board chair to Jacques de Vaucleroy, currently vice chairman and lead independent director, Swiss Re said.
The search for a successor has started and Mr. de Vaucleroy is leading the process, the company said.
