Petsense by Tractor Supply Announces Spring Adoption Event to Help Shelter Animals Find Forever Homes
Petsense by Tractor Supply will partner with local shelters across the country to host their semi-annual national Spring “Adoptathon” event April 27 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Petsense by Tractor Supply is deeply passionate about giving shelter pets the second chance they deserve. Through the Spring Adoptathon, the company is excited to invite local organizations into its stores and to help find forever homes for adoptable dogs, cats and for our pets out here.
“Adopting a pet of your own isn’t just about finding a furry friend, rather they nuture our own well-being through unconditional love and can significantly enhance our mental health,” said Matthew Rubin, divisional president of Petsense by Tractor Supply. “That’s why we’re excited to bring back our Adoptathon this spring to help and spotlight these deserving pets, and connect them to loving, forever homes.”
Approximately 6.5 million animals nationally enter shelters each year, but only about half of those animals get adopted, according to the ASPCA. Through the Adoptathon event, and beyond, Petsense by Tractor Supply is determined to tackle this situation across the U.S. and save as many shelter animal lives as possible.
Customers who attend the Adoptathon can expect:
- Local animal shelters and rescue groups on site with dogs and cats eligible for adoption.
- Other adoptable small and specialty animals at certain stores.
- Perks for those who adopt animals, including a goody bag of fun giveaways and several special coupons to save on supplies, grooming and food as a new pet parent.
For cat adoption services year-round, Petsense by Tractor Supply partners with local rescues and shelters to re-home thousands of cats in our in-store SavAPet centers. To date, we have saved over 150,000 pet lives through adoption. Those interested in adopting their own pet can visit their local Petsense by Tractor Supply store or go to www.Petsense.com for more information. Adoption events vary by location; please contact your local Petsense by Tractor Supply store for more details.
