The subconscious home bias can increase the risk of investors’ portfolios. 

Biases, whether conscious or subconscious, can influence investors' decisions. The home bias—a tendency for investors to favor domestic rather than foreign securities—can inadvertently put investors' portfolios at greater risk due to higher concentration in specific sectors or positions.
