By Dean Seal
TechnipFMC said it was awarded a large contract to supply subsea production systems in Guyana's Stabroek Block for an affiliate of Exxon Mobil.
The technology provider for energy companies said on Monday that under the terms of the contract it will provide project management, engineering, and manufacturing to deliver 48 subsea trees and associated tooling on ExxonMobil Guyana's Whiptail project
The company qualifies large contracts as those netting between $500 million and $1 billion.
TechnipFMC said it employs nearly 140 Guyanese workers and expects to continue hiring and training local staff to support the new contract.
