Quiet Week Ahead for Earnings, Data Reports

Jeremy Glaser: It looks set to be a quiet week on the earnings and data front, but of course with continued trade worries and the re-emergence of concerns around Italy and the eurozone that doesn't mean it will be a quiet week for the stock market.

Narrow-moat Smucker reports on Thursday. Analyst Zain Akbari sees shares as undervalued, though he does point out the firm is facing pressure from shifting consumer tastes and rising competition. Still, he thinks the firm's iconic food, coffee, and pet-food brands should lead to solid returns on invested capital.

The ISM services index is due out on Tuesday along with jobs openings data. Other releases include factory orders, first-quarter productivity, and April's trade balance.
