Analyst Note

| Krzysztof Smalec, CFA |

We are raising our fair value estimate for narrow-moat-rated Xylem to $95 from $87 after the water technology firm reported strong first-quarter results. Xylem’s first-quarter sales of $1,256 million and adjusted EPS of $0.56 both came in above FactSet consensus estimates of $1,174 million and $0.38. Our fair value increase reflects Xylem’s strong start to 2021, an improving end market outlook, and time value of money since our last update.
