Fresenius SE & Co KGaA (FRE.XE) said Tuesday that its Helios hospital segment is expanding two hospitals in Germany.
The company said Fresenius Helios recently opened a 130-bed building at the company's hospital in Dachau, near the city of Munich. The new structure is part of a 55 million euros ($68.25 million) renovation and expansion program that will include the modernization of the existing hospital building over the next two years, said the company.
Fresenius said work has also started on a building in the northern German city of Nienburg/Weser, which will almost double the size of the emergency department at Fresenius Hospital Mittelweser.
The company said about EUR2.3 million is being invested in this project and it is scheduled to be completed in the fall.
