Boeing Releases Public Model for Aviation Industry Net Zero Carbon Emission Goals
By Denny Jacob
Boeing on Wednesday released a model to support the aviation industry's efforts to reach net zero carbon emissions.
The plane maker said its Boeing Cascade Climate Impact model is for public use. Boeing said Cascade examines the life cycle of alternate energy sources for aviation and quantifies the ability to cut aviation's carbon emissions.
"By putting data first and sharing this model with the public, we are enabling collaboration, feedback and alignment across industry, government and others who work together to achieve a more sustainable aerospace future," said Chief Sustainability Officer Chris Raymond.
