Sony Group Considering Listing Financial Unit
By Kosaku Narioka
Sony Group said Thursday that it is considering listing its financial unit in two to three years.
The Japanese entertainment and electronics company said it would continue to hold a stake of less than 20% in the financial business even after the potential spinoff so that the spun-off company could continue to use the Sony brand and create synergy with other group businesses.
Sony Group said the financial business requires investment for further growth.
