By Adriano Marchese
Enbridge said Monday that it has appointed Patrick Murray to the role of chief financial officer to replace Vern Yu, who has taken the head role at AltaGas.
Mr. Murray has been with Enbridge, a Canadian pipeline and energy company, since 1997, serving in progressively more senior roles in the company's finance team.
In 2020, Mr. Murray was named chief accounting officer after serving as financial planning, analysis and controller for two years.
Mr. Murray's appointment will become effective on July 1.
Mr. Yu will join AltaGas as its chief executive officer after being with Enbridge for nearly three decades.
At Enbridge, Mr. Yu held various roles of increasing responsibility across both the company's U.S. and Canada operations, including as chief development officer.
