Vodafone Appoints Margherita Della Valle as Chief Executive

Vodafone Group PLC said Thursday that Margherita Della Valle has been appointed chief executive.
The U.K.-based telecommunications company said Ms. Della Valle will also continue as group chief financial officer until an external search for a new group CFO is complete.
Ms. Della Valle had been serving as interim chief executive.
Shares in the company at 1339 GMT were up 0.86 pence, or 0.9%, at 95.14 pence.
