ANI Pharmaceuticals Receives FDA Approval for Dexamethasone Tablets

ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Tuesday said it received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its dexamethasone tablets.
Dexamethasone is a drug used to relieve inflammation, and it can be used to treat certain forms of arthritis, certain types of cancer, severe allergies and asthma, the company said.
The current U.S. market for the drug is nearly $60 million, according to IQVIA/IMS Health, a leading healthcare data and analytics provider.
The Baudette, Minn.-based pharmaceutical company's generic version of the drug will be launched soon and be available in 1.5mg, 4mg and 6mg, it said.
