Trending: Samsung Heir Lee Jae-Yong Is Pardoned

0344 GMT - Samsung Group is the most mentioned company in the news over the past six hours, according to Factiva data, following news that President Yoon Suk-yeol granted a special pardon to Samsung's de facto leader Lee Jae-yong, effective Monday. Mr. Lee, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, was released on parole a year ago while serving a 30-month prison term for bribery. His pardon opens the door to have all his rights reinstated, according to Yonhap. Samsung Electronics shares are up 0.8% at KRW60,400, outperforming the Kospi benchmark, which is up 0.1% and moving in a tight range. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva.
