After unsuccessful debt restructuring negotiations that lasted nearly three years, EYP agreed to sell itself while in bankruptcy to Ault Alliance Inc., a unit of bitcoin mining company BitNile Holdings Inc., for roughly $68 million, according to a court filing.
Senate Tees Up Votes on Biden's Fed Nominees
The Senate moved ahead Monday evening with consideration of President Biden's nominees to the Federal Reserve, beginning with a procedural vote clearing the path to confirm governor Lael Brainard later this week as the central bank's vice chairwoman.
The 54-40 tally indicated Ms. Brainard will be confirmed with bipartisan support. Eight Republicans joined 46 senators who caucus with the Democrats in moving her nomination forward. Four Fed nominees are up for confirmation, and it is unknown if the two who would be new to the board would be seated ahead of next week's rate-setting meeting.
North Korea's Kim Jong Un Vows to Speed Up Nuclear-Weapons Program
SEOUL-North Korean leader Kim Jong Un vowed to step up the country's nuclear-weapons program as fast as possible, in a speech delivered at a military parade featuring the country's largest known intercontinental ballistic missile.
The Monday evening parade, marking the founding anniversary of North Korea's armed forces, showcased the Hwasong-17 ICBM, along with tanks, armored vehicles, artillery pieces and rocket launchers.
