Bank Negara Indonesia's Nine-Month Net Profit Rose Sharply

Bank Negara Indonesia's net profit for the nine months ended September jumped 79%, as the bank recorded higher income from insurance premiums.

The Indonesian lender said late Monday that nine-month net profit rose to 7.746 trillion Indonesian rupiah ($547.1 million), compared with IDR4.320 trillion in the same period last year.

Net interest income rose 18% to IDR28.698 trillion, the lender said.

Bank Negara Indonesia said it plans to continue developing its digital banking and e-commerce offerings.
