Ubisoft Entertainment SA said Wednesday that it is collaborating with Walt Disney Co.'s Lucasfilm Games on a new Star Wars game.

At 1520 GMT, Ubisoft shares traded 6.6% higher at EUR84.40.

The French videogame maker said its studio Massive Entertainment would head the project to develop the new story-driven open-world title.

Ubisoft said it would release more details on the game as well as a due date at a later stage.

"This is the beginning of a long-term collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm Games, and we are pleased to be working hand-in-hand to build upon the incredible legacy of Lucasfilm to create a game that we know Star Wars fans will love," Ubisoft Chief Executive Yves Guillemot said.
