On Nov. 21, 2022, Fidelity announced two executive changes affecting Fidelity Asset Management Solutions, or FAMS. Current president of FAMS Vadim Zlotnikov will become president of the Fidelity Institutional division, assuming the role currently held by Michael Durbin. In addition, the firm has promoted Bill Irving, chief investment officer of global asset allocation, to president of FAMS. The formal transitions will happen in December. Irving will maintain his current duties as CIO while also taking on additional responsibilities as president of the group. This dual role is not unprecedented, as Zlotnikov held both positions prior to Irving's promotion to CIO of global asset allocation in May 2020.
