AQR Multi-Strategy Alternative's Performance Woes Continue, but the Strategy Retains Its Rating

Senior Analyst

Analyst Note

| |

AQR Multi-Strategy Alternative's (and the half-volatility AQR WS Delta for Australian markets) performance challenges continue amid a panic-riddled market environment, further adding to its two-year-long drawdown. The U.S. mutual fund's institutional class lost 22.5% versus the multialternative Morningstar Category average of 13.1% from Feb. 20 to March 24, 2020. Although this result has been disappointing, AQR could be well-positioned to recover some losses down the road. The strategy's Morningstar Analyst Rating of Bronze remains unchanged.
