Jahiz Barlas stepped down as comanager of Lord Abbett Alpha in late July 2026. Barlas became a comanager here in September 2023 as part of Giulio Martini’s multi-asset team, which handles asset allocation for this strategy. Barlas is moving to the firm’s quantitative team, a spokesperson said. Because the allocations to underlying funds haven’t changed since 2013, the multi-asset team’s role here is minimal. Also, lead manager Matt DeCicco and Martini will remain, so Barlas’ departure does not affect the strategy’s Average People rating, nor its Morningstar Medalist Ratings.
