WM Small Cap Stock Slapped by Tech Holdings

Fund holds its own amid carnage in tech shares.

Things aren't great for WM Small Cap Stock Fund (SREMX), but they could be a lot worse.

The fund finished 2000 below the category average, and its 18% loss so far in 2001 puts it about even with the category. The fund's manager, Linda Walk, puts between 40% and 50% of assets in technology, and that sector has crashed in the last 12 months.
