Judging from the February cash-flow estimates of major fund groups, investors are acting like they have learned something about diversification over the last several tumultuous months.
Big fund companies said investors, who a year ago were buying the shares of aggressive-growth and technology funds by the tanker load, have broadened their palettes to include fixed-income and more-conservative equity offerings. "This year, you've got a lot more diversity in investors' choices," said Anne Crowley, spokeswoman for Fidelity Investments.
