The week begins with earnings announcements from United Airlines UAL and Charles Schwab SCHW on Monday. On Tuesday, healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson JNJ will report. In the economic reporting front, the Federal Reserve releases its commentary on current economic conditions in the Beige Book on Wednesday. September’s retail sales figures release on the same day.

The market is anticipating an easing of trade war tensions; the new round of negotiations began last week, and President Donald Trump signaled that this round of talks has been going well.
