The Week Ahead: Upcoming IPOs and Apple's Product Showcase

This week we will be watching for Zscaler's ZS earnings report on Tuesday. The cloud-based information security platform has experienced recent fluctuations in the market but is expected to release strong earnings. HD Supply Holdings HDS will also announce earnings Tuesday following the successful acquisition of Presto Maintenance Supply on Sept. 3.

Several retailers, including Francesca's FRAN, RH RH, and GameStop GME, will also be releasing earnings on Tuesday. MasterCraft Boat Holdings MCFT and Kroger KR are announcing on Thursday.

After a new round of tariffs in the ongoing trade war, we will see the impact on the August 2019 Consumer Price Index and retail sales data, which will be released on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

SmileDirectClub, a custom teeth aligner rivaling traditional braces at a lesser cost, will announce its IPO pricing on Thursday. One of the largest IPOs of the fall, it is expected to price shares between $19 and $22, per regulatory documents. Zscaler competitor Cloudflare will also announce IPO pricing on Friday. According to the filing, it expects to have 293 million shares available.

Apple AAPL will host a "By Innovation Only" event on Tuesday and is expected to debut product upgrades to their flagship iPhone and Apple Watch products.
