Earnings season begins to cool down although a lot of technology and retail companies will report this week. This includes 3-star rated Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) on Tuesday. Its pending acquisition of supercomputer manufacturer Cray looks on pace to close. Morningstar analyst Mark Cash is not concerned about the smaller firm’s disappointing second-quarter earnings. On Wednesday, highly cyclical specialty retailers Tiffany (TIF) and Williams-Sonoma (WSM), both rated with 3 stars, report earnings, as well as Box (BOX) and Five Below (FIVE).

Thursday is a busy day, with 4-star-rated Dell Technologies (DELL) and 3-star Workday (WDAY) reporting earnings. Retailers Best Buy (BBY), Dollar General (DG), and Dollar Tree (DLTR) report as well.
