Investor advocates' demands for more frequent and detailed disclosure of mutual fund holdings and costs have finally found a receptive ear in Washington D.C.
Next week the Securities and Exchange Commission will decide whether to propose rules requiring mutual funds to file a complete list of their portfolio holdings with the SEC once a quarter, instead of twice a year as they do now.
