Tech Stocks among Best and Worst Performers
Chipmakers lead the way; online providers occupy the bottom.
Technology stocks were among the best- and worst-performing stocks of the first six months of 2000, according to Morningstar’s database.
The lists, compiled after screening out stocks that started the year at less than $5, also contain a smattering of health-care, utility, and real-estate issues.
