Some big IPOs bypass small-cap list in annual overhaul.
The yearly adjustments made this week to the popular Russell stock indexes show that technology stocks continue their dominance.
The Frank Russell Co., which created and manages the small-cap Russell 2000 index, as well as the larger-cap Russell 1000 and the broader Russell 3000, added 624 names--up from 450 last year--while deleting 348 from the total broad-market index of 3,000 companies.
