To evaluate funds, Morningstar Analysts focus on five key pillars — Process, Performance, People, Parent, and Price.

A fund that receives a medalist rating of Gold, Silver, or Bronze, is expected to outperform similar funds over a full market cycle.

The Morningstar Analyst Rating for Funds is not a short-term market call, but instead provides a forward-looking perspective on a fund’s abilities.

Our investment management business generates asset-based fees, which are calculated as a percentage of assets under management.
