Fidelity Draws Up Plans for 10 Passively Managed, Sector ETFs

For months, officials from Fidelity have been building an infrastructure to allow the firm to enter the world of indexed sector exchange-traded funds through a partnership with BlackRock.

On Friday, July 26, the firm took an important step in proceeding, by filing with U.S. regulators for permission to create 10 passively managed, sector ETFs that would track MSCI indexes.
