(MarketNewsVideo.com) -- After the bell yesterday, News Corp (NWS) declared its semi-annual dividend of 7.5 cents per share, and increase of about twenty five percent over its prior dividend. With the dividend, the company also announced strong earnings in the fourth quarter of twenty five cents per share, ex-items.
In morning trading, shares of News Corp were trading higher, up more than five and a half percent so far.
In other dividend news, Corning (GLW) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share. Mastercard (MA) maintained its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share. Aflac (AFL) maintained its quarterly dividend of 28 cents per share. And Cardinal Health (CAH) maintained its quarterly dividend of 17.5 cents per share.
