Weekly Wrap: How to Invest Like Warren Buffett

And questions we’d like answered at this year’s annual Berkshire Hathaway meeting.

In many ways, this is an unusual year for Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway BRK.A BRK.B. For starters, Buffett, Charlie Munger, and the Berkshire team are holding their first in-person annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday since the start of the pandemic. Berkshire has also been especially active this year putting money to work, taking significant positions in Occidental Petroleum OXY and HP HPQ, and buying Alleghany outright. Plus, there's a shareholder proposal on the table to remove Buffett as chairman of Berkshire.

Looks like there will be plenty to talk about this weekend!

I sat down with Morningstar's resident Berkshire specialist, sector strategist Gregg Warren, to discuss all things Berkshire. Gregg shared what he thinks of the conglomerate's recent purchases, what fair value Morningstar assigns the shares today, and what makes Buffett tick as an investor. The full video is a great watch ahead of Saturday's event.
