The Week Ahead: Facebook, Apple, and Amazon.com to Report Earnings

Other big names, including Coca-Cola, Ford, and Exxon Mobil, will be reporting, too.

Get ready for a week full of earnings reports from companies across all sectors. Kicking us off on Monday is Facebook FB. The wide-moat social network is used to being under a glaring spotlight. Most recently, shareholders spoke out about how Mark Zuckerberg, who is both CEO and board chair, has almost complete veto power. In other words, shareholder voices are essentially being silenced. Despite the constant string of scrutiny that Facebook experiences, we think its large audience size will still attract ad dollars. On Tuesday, we are looking out for 3M MMM, General Electric GE, Alphabet GOOGL, Advanced Micro Devices AMD, Lockheed Martin LMT, Microsoft MSFT, and Visa V. Coca-Cola KO, Ford Motor F, McDonald's MCD, and Boeing BA are on our radar for Wednesday. For Thursday, we expect Apple AAPL, Altria Group MO, Merck & Co MRK, Starbucks SBUX, and T. Rowe Price TROW, and Amazon.com AMZN. Apple launched new iPhone models as well as a new iPad and Apple Watch. With the new A15 Bionic chip to boost battery life and advanced camera setups, we predict 2021 iPhone sales to surpass $190 billion. And last, but not least, on Friday, we have Chevron CVX, AbbVie ABBV, and Exxon Mobil XOM on our list.
