Guinea president picks ally to replace army chief

CONAKRY, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Guinea President Alpha Conde named Brigadier General Namory Traore as head of the West African state's armed forces on Tuesday, replacing General Souleymane Kelefa Diallo who died in a plane crash with five other top army officials on Feb. 11.
