UPDATE 2-US court rejects Verizon challenge to roaming rule

WASHINGTON, Dec 4 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday upheld a 2011 rule that requires mobile data providers to offer roaming agreements to their competitors, rejecting a challenge brought by Verizon Wireless.
Morningstar's Mike Hodel thinks that AT&T's deal for T-Mobile is good for AT&T shareholders, but regulators may be hesitant to allow the telecom giant to get even bigger.
