Does this Make sense? My March Madness Bonds did Pretty good.. 10 made $ and went up in Nav, while 3 Lost Loosers> VBIIX , VBLTX & ( Globals) GIM & PAUIX. Winners >The Multi's did ok, MWTRX, PONDX, DLFNX, while the others did better, DLTNX, TGLMX
On a recent post on another forum, you suggested for a retired person, 25% each in: VWINX, VBLTX , VBILX and VWEHX. My questions, would you ever rebalance or sell, and what would be your triggers for selling? Just curious.
Bonds, using 50% in VWELX and 50% In VBLTX did the ave of 7.2% apy for the past ..... Retiree's> A 50/50 Port of VWINX and VBLTX did the same..Beat a 7 fund Port of ..... Diversified Balanced Fund , symbol PRPFX and VBLTX did over 9.7% apy for the past 10 yrs

Extend. Long Treas. ETF> EDV? it's ave 20% apy since past 4 yrs., inception in 08'.. Same for Long Corp. Bonds ( VBLTX ) Past 10 yrs = 8.1% apy +150% Leve. Long = 12% apy and very nice Ylds.. Where are the Leveraged Long Corporated Bond

inflation? That's a Looser.. Better off just owning Bonds! vs just owning 80% In VWINX and 20% in Treas. or VBIIX or VBLTX , wouldn't you have been far better off..? ( past 3 & 5 yrs) 80/20, VWINX & VBIIX 3 yrs = 11.78% 5 yrs = 6.22
