    3. Outlook for the CRE Market

      Commentary

      Fri, 31 Dec 2010

founder Roy Neuberger passed away at age 107 on December 24. " There are good REITs alternatives to the above fund: CSRSX, FRESX, TRRSX , and ETFs VNQ and IYR. And, of course, TIAA/TREA will benefit if the CREs continue to do better.

    4. New Rules Hit Hong Kong Property

      Commentary

      Mon, 22 Nov 2010

there is some international CRE in the REA as I remember there is none invested in Hong Kong. There may be some invested in TRRSX but one would have to check the prospectus for that. In any case here are some excerpts from the article. Tougher-than

    5. T-C Allocations

      Commentary

      Mon, 18 Oct 2010

have the automatic rebalance set-up once year on my b-day. CREF Stock 70% TIAA Traditional 25% Real Estate Securities- TRRSX 5% I'm 46 and plan on working another 20 yrs. I know I don't have any bonds in this. Bonds totally confuse me with all

    6. Roth IRA's

      Commentary

      Tue, 31 Aug 2010

I have 3 Roth IRA's. OAKGX, OAKBX, & FMIHX. I don't plan on making any changes this year, but I've been thinking about a possible sunstitute for OAKBX at some point since I already have McGregor managing OAKGX. Now I said "thinking". It doesn't mean I will. This is probably a stupid question but would it be totally stupid to replace OAKBX with something like SEQUX? I know it doesn't hold bonds, but it does hold plenty of cash that protects on the downside and is used to purchase when they see something they want. It gives me high quality companies and different managers..so I've kind of diversified the management some. Also RYSEX is another idea. Small caps since I don't have a SC fund and its also a conservative fund that holds up well in down mkts. SC's have had their run so nows not the time for that I don't believe, but maybe in the future. By far the bulk of my retirement is with my 403b thru work. It's with TIAA-CREF and I have total mkt. plus international exposure etc... It looks like this; 70% CREF Stock 20% TIAA Traditional 5% Real Estate Securities  ( TRRSX ) I like to counter this with actively managed focused funds like the ones I've mentioned. Thanks Clem

    7. Fund Watch values for 8/02

      Commentary

      Mon, 2 Aug 2010

They are out right now but for the funds I track they are wrong; perhaps they are last Friday's value. For example TRRSX shows a day change of $0.03; the acutal change is $0.30. Ray
