Hello! I am attempting to build my own Roth porfolio. I am young and am in no rush, so I'm looking for long term returns here. I was looking at the following funds for the base of my Roth and then possibly throwing in a few Bond ETF's or something along those lines... trying to create something of a 9:1 ratio...maybe a tad more in bonds. I was looking at the following funds and wanted some opinions for what I should be studying when getting ready to pick my fund. American Century Equity Income (TWEIX) Fidelity Contrafund (FCNTX) Yacktman (YACKX) Neuberger Berman Genesis ( NBGEX ) There are bits and pieces that I like to each, but would like any opinions out there. Side questions: 1) If a fund has a high turnover % does that translate into a higher expense ratio? 2) Is the strategy of screening for 4 & 5 star funds flawed in any way as far as beginners are concerned?
