Glaser: This was somewhat of a surprise that he is stepping down as CEO, but he is not leaving [TICKER: ORCL ] Oracle by any stretch of the imagination. He is going to become chairman now. He is going to be the chief technology officer, and he promoted his co-presidents Mark Hurd, who used to be at HP, and also Safra Catz into co-CEO positions. Rick Summer, our [TICKER: ORCL ] Oracle analyst, sees this as more of a change in titles than a change in responsibilities. Reporting structures are going to remain very similar, and there is not going to be a big change in direction. This is probably just an acknowledgement of the roles that the co-presidents were already playing. That being said, [TICKER: ORCL ] Oracle does have some work ahead of it.
