Guardium’s Emergency Response Platform Receives Top Honors at the 11th edition of the d10e Conference in Gibraltar

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global emergency response software company Guardian Circle announces that it took home top honors at d10e in Gibraltar. d10e, the leading conference on decentralization, ICOs and blockchain technology, awarded Guardium one third of the $100,000 prize provided by Victory Square Technologies to the top three winners.

Guardian came in fourth place among the 18 presenting ICOs, but since the second place winner, FansUnite is already majority owned by the main provider of the prize, the organizers of d10e and Shafin Diamond Tejani, CEO of Victory Square Technologies, decided to award Guardian the cash prize and the special mention. This is not just a cash prize but a contribution to Guardian’s ICO, which effectively makes Victory Square Technologies an investor in Guardian.

Guardium is the world’s first blockchain-based emergency response platform built to crowd-source emergency responders and reward them in cryptocurrency. Guardium’s platform brings a decentralized 911 emergency response to over four billion people without access and features an open API capable of plugging into any device to turn it into an Internet of Things (IoT) alert system and a token rewards system. Guardian Circle will have its Guardium public token sale in November 2017.

Current emergency response services, if available, take too long to answer emergency calls. Emergency centers might not be conveniently located to the emergency situation, escalating the risk of danger for the caller seeking help. Recognizing this gap in service, Guardian Circle platform allows subscribers to have access to a decentralized pool of pre-selected citizen-rescuers who are automatically alerted in the event of an emergency, dispatching aid closest to the emergency.

“The emergency response system being used by governments today is broken,” said Mark Jeffrey, CEO of Guardian Circle. “Our platform empowers communities, because it makes certain a person in an emergency situation has access to rescuers in their community right away. We are honored to receive this special mention and the cash prize.”

Guardium tokens will be used to reward response-related transactions. For example, an off-duty EMT registered as a professional paid Guardian that centrally located to an emergency and answers an alert will be rewarded with Guardium tokens. Token holders may redeem the tokens for more services within the platform or sell the tokens within the platform for fiat currency. All transactions will be recorded using blockchain-based smart contracts.

Using its proprietary intelligent grid to manage alerts, Guardian Circle’s distributed response ensures emergency aid is always geographically located to the situation, bringing safety to remote areas.

“We are happy to have Guardian among d10e’s ICO pitch competiton winners. As millions of people will be benefiting from Guardian’s reward-based emergency response system, we will be proud to have been among its early contributors,” said Mike Costache, co-owner of d10e and founder of the Blockchain Investors Consortium (BIC).
