Shares of power-plant operators fell as traders rotated into more economically sensitive areas.

Georgia Power parent Southern Company ticked down after the company experienced an outage in service to the Atlanta international airport on Sunday. A fire may have affected both the power supply and backup facilities, according to an initial investigation.
