Introducing the New Morningstar.com
We're building a new online experience with one goal in mind: to make the important investing work you do on our website easier and more intuitive.
If you have specific questions or need help finding something you need, check out our new site FAQ.
Built for You, and With You
From our earliest prototypes to our latest design, we have sought reader feedback at each step and have already made several improvements based on what we heard. Now we want to hear from you!
Familiar Faces
Though our look and feel is new, the heart and soul of Morningstar.com—our independent research, ratings, investment data, and your favorite columnists—are still here, and even easier to access.
Portfolio Power
While we're making many changes and improvements to Morningstar.com, the same powerful Portfolio Manager tool is still available to you—a familiar home base as you get the new lay of the land.
1 We’ve raised the profile of Morningstar's Premium research, including fair value estimate, Consider Buy/Sell (now renamed 5-Star Price and 1-Star price), Economic Moat rating, and full Analyst Report so you can more readily access a Morningstar analyst's independent opinion on a stock.
2 Premium Members can zero in on the sections of our Analyst Report that have recently been updated to quickly understand if there is any change in our outlook or ratings, and why.
Premium Members will also find our new Quantitative Rating for stocks. This new rating extends our analysts’ rigorous research process to assign a quantitative Fair Value, Moat, Uncertainty, and Star Rating to thousands of smaller stocks that, until now, we haven’t been able to rate at all. (Learn more about our Quantitative Rating here.)
3 Premium Members also get our new historical Price vs. Fair Value chart to see how a stock’s Fair Value, Economic Moat, Star Rating, and market price have changed over time.
4 And check out our new Competitors section to see how a stock compares with its peers across a variety of valuation and performance metrics.
New Fund Report
This spring, we're rolling out a new fund and ETF report page with several new features and better delivery of the research, ratings, and insights you trust from Morningstar. You can see a preview of the new Fund Report page now.
Screener Upgrades
Later this year, we’ll be testing a new screener that will deliver the same robust filters and criteria you need, in a much more user-friendly, efficient, and responsive interface.
Better Alerts
We’ll be upgrading our email systems to improve delivery of your e-newsletters and alerts, plus offer you more options to get alerts by author, topic, or theme.
Portfolio Manager
Improvements
We know Portfolio Manager is one of the most important and highly personalized tools for our readers, but we also know it can be better. In 2018, we’ll be building out new experiences alongside our legacy tool to enhance stability and performance, improve your portfolio import and update activities, and bring more relevance and insights to your holdings analysis.
