What is a Balanced Fund? A balanced fund invests in both stocks and bonds. These funds often place 60% of assets in stocks and 40% in bonds, but this isn’t a hard rule. Some will hold different proportions of stocks and bonds, and some might adjust the proportions over time depending on the management team’s investment outlook.
