Kitchenware and home furnishings retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSM) reported late Wednesday its fiscal second-quarter profit rose 4.9% to $50.7 million, or 53 cents a share, from $48.9 million, or 49 cents a share, a year ago.
