With 100 days until the start of The Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG), a Worldwide Olympic Partner, kicked off their Thank You, Mom campaign today and announced that several world-class U.S. athletes – and their moms – have joined its global family of athletes & moms. Lindsey Vonn, Evan Lysacek, Julie Chu and Taylor Lipsett, supported by P&G brands such as Olay®, Crest® and Bounty® join the elite line-up. As part of the 2014 campaign, P&G will launch a new Raising an Olympian film series, which showcases and celebrates the journey of these athletes and their moms to get to the Olympics.

After all the hard work of raising their athlete, some moms can’t afford to be there with their child at the Games, so as part of the 2014 Thank You, Mom campaign, P&G is proud to offer thanks to all 357 moms of US Olympians & Paralympians with a gift of a $1,000 VISA gift card to help them on their journey to Sochi.

Today, the first set of the Raising an Olympian film series for the Sochi 2014 Thank You, Mom campaign will be released. The series showcases the journey of world-class athletes, as seen through the eyes of their moms. Lindsey Vonn and her mom Lindy Lund are featured in the series, highlighting how Lindsey learned from her mom to be tough and overcome obstacles to become a world-class Olympic athlete.

The U.S. series of 10 films (part of 28 films globally) brings to life the daily lessons all moms teach their kids from their first steps to their first failures, and the unconditional love moms give their kids no matter what.
