Target Corp. (TGT) is recalling about 69,000 Circo-brand children's sitting stools after receiving seven reports of the stools breaking or collapsing and resulting in a child falling, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The stool's stabilizing bar can collapse, posing a risk that the user may fall, the commission said. Bumps, bruises and cuts were reported in five of the reported incidents, according to the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the stools immediately and return them to the retailer for a refund.
The recall involves stools that were part of a Chloe and Conner collection. The painted wooden stools were sold exclusively by Target from April 2012 through 2013 for about $15.
The stools were produced by L. Powell Acquisition Corp. of California and made in China.
