2013/1/30 - Regal Entertainment Group Announces Regal Oscar® Movie Week At 118 Locations

“Regal’s Oscar® Movie Week is the most convenient way to see all of the Best Picture Nominees. Regal is the only major exhibitor showcasing these nine fantastic films back on the silver screen for a full week,” stated Ken Thewes, Chief Marketing Officer for Regal Entertainment Group. “Again this year, we are also thrilled to offer our Regal Crown Club members the chance to win a seat along the red carpet at next year’s ceremony.”

The “Red Carpet Dreams Sweepstakes” is an exclusive opportunity at Regal Entertainment Group theatres to win a trip to L.A. to view the Red Carpet Arrivals at the 2014 Oscars®. Regal Crown Club members are automatically entered for their chance to win the trip by purchasing tickets to Oscar® nominated films at Regal.

Starting on Friday, February 15, Regal will alternate between presenting 4 or 5 of the Best Picture nominated films each day for the entire week-long festival. Moviegoers can purchase a daily pass for $30 or a special 2-day pass to see all nine films for only $50. Daily passes are available online and at participating locations. The special 2-day pass is only available at the box office. Additionally, with each ticket purchased, moviegoers will receive a coupon good for the Regal Oscar® Movie Week Combo of a medium popcorn and medium drink for only $5. Those purchasing the special 2-day pass will receive 2 coupons valid for the combo.

Through a promotional partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Regal is able to offer a grand prize package for two sets of winners. The prize includes access to view the Red Carpet Arrivals from fan bleachers at the 86th Academy Awards® Ceremony in 2014.

To enter the sweepstakes, moviegoers can sign up now or use their existing Regal Crown Club card when purchasing tickets to any Best Picture Nominee. The sweepstakes is available at Regal Entertainment Group theatres across the country from February 7 through February 24, 2013. The grand prize is an all expense paid trip for two to view the Red Carpet Arrivals at the 86th Academy Awards Ceremony in 2014. The grand prize will be awarded to two sets of winners.

As an added incentive, Regal Crown Club members will also receive 5 Extra Credits for each ticket they purchase to a nominated film in any of the above mentioned categories during the sweepstakes dates.
