NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - Apple Inc. AAPL has a team of close to 100 product designers working on a wristwatch-like product, according to reports. The new product, in the development stage, could do many of the tasks of the iPhone or iPad. The team working on the project has grown and involves managers, marketing staff, software and hardware engineers, giving an indication that the plans are progressing, two people familiar with the company's plans told Bloomberg News. Media reports over the weekend reported Apple was working on a wristwatch device. Apple shares have been down more than 30% in the last few months, as sales growth has slowed from increased competition.
