2013/2/25 - Electrochem Announces Presence at Medical Devices Summit East

As Electrochem continues to aggressively grow and expand its presence in the medical market space, the company will showcase its customized total power solutions for portable medical devices on the conference floor at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf hotel. These technology solutions include battery packs, chargers, docking stations and power supplies for critical applications such as, but not limited to, ultrasounds, defibrillators, patient monitors and LVADs.

The company will host two educational roundtable sessions on Friday, March 1 at 9:00am and 9:30am – George Cintra, VP of RD&E for Electrochem, will present the topic titled “Medical Power Solutions: Smart & Performance-Driven.” He will discuss the advances of portable battery technology for medical devices related to improvements in size, weight, cycle life and delivery. In addition, this session will cover sterilization techniques for batteries including autoclave, Sterrad/Sterris and gamma irradiation.
