2013/2/25 - Lockheed Martin Announces 2013 Avalon International Airshow Media Briefing Schedule

At the show, Lockheed Martin will highlight its role as a trusted partner for Australian customers and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and underscore its continuing commitment to meeting customers' most challenging global security needs. The Corporation's exhibition stand and information materials will also highlight its year-long centennial celebration, as it looks forward to another 100 years of innovation.

Lockheed Martin is the Western world's premier designer and manufacturer of 5^th Generation stealth-based jet fighters. The briefing will highlight the capabilities of the F-35A – the world's most advanced multi-role fighter aircraft – which is currently in production for initial delivery to the Royal Australian Air Force in 2014. The briefing will also provide an update on the growing opportunities for job creation and export opportunities for Australian industry including access to advanced manufacturing technologies associated with this growing international program.

SkyLine Enterprise is an innovative platform designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of international air traffic management. Lockheed Martin is offering SkyLine Enterprise as its solution for Australia's joint Airservices/Department of Defence 'oneSKY Australia' procurement, which aims to combine civil and military air traffic control under a single system. The briefing will outline Lockheed Martin's approach to addressing this important requirement with a proven solution that includes components fielded with military and civilian operators.
