ATLANTA, March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), has entered into an agreement with Prepaid Wireless Wholesale, LLC to sell nationwide high-speed data, voice and messaging services within the company's regional service territory. The agreement expands the suite of services offered by the regional iDEN-based carrier.

"With this agreement, we will be able to offer current and future customers the opportunity to experience faster data throughput and nationwide calling," stated Don Horsley, president and CEO. "We will be the only carrier in the U.S. to combine our highly reliable iDEN Push To Talk and cellular with high-speed data on GSM and UMTS networks."
The agreement with Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) Prepaid Wireless Wholesale, LLC will give SouthernLINC Wireless customers the ability to access high-speed data and voice services locally and in major cities across the U.S. with the use of a dual-SIM phone. SouthernLINC Wireless expects to introduce a new dual-SIM phone and suite of high-speed nationwide services in late spring 2013.
